FARMINGTON — The Titcomb Mountain Holiday Auction will be held on Friday, Dec. 4, at the Granary Restaurant function room. The auction, sponsored by the Farmington Ski Club and the Titcomb Mountain Ski Education Foundation, is in its 14th year.
This year’s auction will feature a variety of items from area businesses as well as community members. Highlights include skis, downhill and Nordic ski passes, an individual ski membership to Titcomb Mountain, furniture, handcrafted items, art and baked goods.
A feature of this year’s auction is a raffle that includes an original pastel painting named “The Warming Hut,” a handcrafted cherry and maple end table and a handwoven pile Turkish rug. The tickets are $5 each.
Those interested in purchasing one should call Titcomb Mountain at 778-9031. Tickets will also be available at the auction. There is a window display in the Calico Patch storefront on Broadway.
The silent auction bidding will begin at 6 p.m. at the Granary Restaurant. The live auction will start at 7 p.m. Call the Granary at 779-0710 if interested in dinner reservations.
