This original Lee Bean watercolor from the collection of Suzanne Grover has been donated to the Western Maine Art Group. The still life of a garden cottage on Monhegan Island will be raffled in December as a fundraiser for WMAG. It is on exhibit at the Lajos Matolcsy Arts Center, 480 Main St., Norway. A student of Hungarian fine arts professor Lajos Matolcsy, Bean’s paintings hang in many homes and businesses in Maine as well as all over the country. Bean is a WMAG founder and has won many awards over the years. The drawing will be at WMAG’s holiday party on Sunday, Dec. 6. Raffle tickets are 1 for $5, 6 for $10 or 15 for $20. They may be purchased at the arts center from 1 to 5 on Thursday, Friday or Sunday; and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
