FARMINGTON — The Mt. Blue Regional School district has announced the 2009 December concert schedule in local schools.

The schools’ choruses, bands and orchestras will perform at each concert. All concerts begin at 7 p.m. and are free and open to the public.

On Monday, Dec. 7, the student musicians at the Cascade Brook School will perform under the direction of Karen Beacham, Nancy Beacham and Mark Phillips. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in the Mt. Blue High School gym. In case of inclement weather, the concert will be rescheduled for Monday, Dec. 14.

The Mt. Blue High School concert will be presented on Wednesday, Dec. 9, in the high school gym. Directors of the high school ensembles are Karen Beacham, Steven Muise and Carol Shumway. Patricia Hayden serves as the chorus accompanist. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be rescheduled for Monday, Dec. 14.

The Mt. Blue Middle School concert musicians will perform on Thursday, Dec. 10, under the direction of Steven Muise, James Perkins and Darryl Pike. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be rescheduled for Thursday, Dec. 17.

Ending the season will be the Academy Hill School concert in Wilton. The concert will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 16, in the school gym and will be performed under the direction of Steven Muise, Darryl Pike and Lindsay Reinstein. Pianist for the concert will be Patricia Hayden. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be rescheduled for Thursday, Dec. 17.
