KINGFIELD — Mary Rolerson Hebert, originally of Lewiston, was recently awarded the 2009 Janet-Reynolds Outstanding Educator Award at the Maine Association for Middle Level Education’s annual conference held at Sugarloaf.

Hebert is a seventh-grade language arts teacher at the School of the Kennebunks. The prestigious award is given each year to one middle level teacher in Maine.

Hebert has been teaching in the district for 23 years. She attended Pettingill, Montello and Lewiston High schools.

Last year’s winner was Brenda Thompson, a teacher at
Phillip W. Sugg Middle School in Lisbon.
