FALMOUTH – Kara Violette and Kayla Royer each scored an unassisted goal to lead Leavitt past Greely, 2-0, in girls’ hockey at Family Ice Center.

Bri Stanley made 16 saves to post the shutout for the Hornets (1-1). Maggie Bower made 19 stops in the Rangers’ net.

Violette gave Leavitt the lead in the opening period. Royer added an insurance tally in the third.
