Coach: Rich Allen (fourth year)
Last year’s record: 16-4, lost in Western B semifinal.
Returning letter winners: Senior – Emily Knapp (5-7 guard); Juniors – Lindsay Gallant (5-3 guard), McKenzie Paterson (5-2 guard); Sophomore – Ayla Allen (5-10 forward).
Key losses: Vanessa Cayer (forward), Lauren LePage (guard), Meagan Maifeld (guard), Taylor Smith (forward), Krista Lee (forward).
Promising newcomers: Junior – Breana Roberts (5-8 forward); Sophomores – Chelsea Bordeau (5-9 foward/guard); Kaitlyn Armstrong (5-6 guard); Chrissy Briggs (5-8 guard), Makayla White (5-5 guard).
Outlook: The Falcons have just one returning starter back in Knapp. Allen provided some nice minutes off the bench and should bolster the post. Paterson will spearhead the defense while Gallant also has experience giving the Falcons a veteran returning group. There will still be a number of players taking on larger roles.
Coach’s comment: “If we can use our quickness to our advantage, play solid defense and take care of the basketball at the offensive end, then I think we will be very competitive.” – Coach Rich Allen.
