Coach: Martin Wilson (second year)

Returning letter winners: Girls: Senior – Emma Christensen. Boys: Senior – Nick Bridges.

Promising newcomer: Boys: Sophomore – Connor Durgin.

Outlook: Wilson hopes to rebuild the Lakers’ proud skiing tradition and is optimistic about the large numbers in the elementary and junior high programs. For now, the focus is on individual achievement. Christensen is a contender for Class C state titles. She was second behind eventual giant slalom champion Sam Largess of Telstar before falling on her second run last year. 

Coach’s comment: “The potential is so great with the mountain (Saddleback) right here. And there’s only one school in town, so it doesn’t take some crystal ball to see what’s coming down the pike.” – Coach Martin Wilson
