A party of about 50 took an automobile trip around the world in Darling’s Garage Thursday evening.
A.B. Andrews, of Auburn, showed a fine set of stereoptican views before a few invited guests. The garage was changed into a modern moving picture house. A large screen was drawn across one end of the garage, upon which the pictures were thrown.
All of the slides were made and most of the pictures were taken by Mr. Andrews, which speaks well for his ability, as each of the pictures was very clear.

TURNER — The Chickadee Restaurant was granted its first liquor license at a public hearing Monday night at the Turner Town Office.
A selectmen’s meeting and a Planning Board meeting had been canceled due to the weather but Turner Selectman Lloyd Libby said he didn’t know of any way of canceling a public hearing, so he showed up for the session along with Chickadee owner William Hird. There was no opposition to the granting of the license.
