LEWISTON — The Just Us Family Christmas Show will be held at 7:30
p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the
Lewiston Middle School, Central Avenue. All young people will have a chance to meet Santa during the intermission of the show. The concert is sponsored by the Franco-American Veterans Post 31 of
Lewiston-Auburn.
The Just Us entertainers were organized in 1999 and they have been performing for nonprofit groups in fundraising events and entertaining veterans since that time.
Just Us was the first group of entertainers to perform at the Franco-American Heritage Center and has performed there in one capacity or another 22 times. The group has performed at every Veterans Day ceremony at the Lewiston Armory, at every Memorial Day ceremony in Veterans Park and at both the Vietnam Wall appearances in Lewiston. The group has also performed for the cancer survivors group as well as at the Liberty Festival.
Just Us is made up of 18 to 25 individuals ranging in age from pre-teenagers to age 84 and three generations of one family perform in the group. No one gets paid for performing and the group does not charge a fee. Donations are accepted to purchase equipment and supplies and to replace used or damaged equipment.
All types of music is performed by Just Us, from oldies to present songs.
