Santa’s workshop
WILTON — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will have the fifth
annual Santa’s Workshop from 9 to 11
a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12. The event will provide an opportunity for area children to shop for
new or gently used items to be used as gifts for their parents. Nothing
is priced over $1 and gift wrapping is included.
Coffee, cider and
donuts will be available for parents while their children shop. The
church is located at the corner of School and High streets. For more
information or to donate items for the sale, call the church at

Shopping day
PHILLIPS — Children will have a chance to shop for Christmas gifts for
their families from 9 a.m.
to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Community House. Santa’s elves will be on hand to wrap the gifts the children
select. Most items sell for a small donation, and the cashier will make sure every child is able to buy the presents
they choose.
Parents may have beverage and treat in the kitchen
while the children shop. The event is sponsored by the
Phillips Shared Ministry Women.
Community lunch
FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church will serve its
monthly free community luncheon on Saturday, Dec. 12, from noon to 1
p.m. The menu for this month includes macaroni and cheese with ham,
green beans, rolls and brownies.
Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. If you
would like to have your meal delivered, please call the church office
during the week at 778-0424 or the church kitchen on the morning of the
luncheon at 778-4438.
Breakfast
CANTON — A breakfast to benefit The Old Canton School House will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Old Canton Municipal Building. Eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, home fries, beans, donuts, muffins, toast, biscuits, coffee and juice will be served from 6:30 to 10 a.m. The cost is $6 for adults; $3 for children under 12.
