Gerard ‘Jerry’ Richard

WESTON, Vt. — Gerard (Jerry) Richard, 80, passed away Dec. 1, at home in Weston, Vt.
Jerry was born Nov. 19, 1929, in Rumford, the son of Albert and Edme (Johnson) Richard. He graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Farmington State Teachers College and served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962, and taught French in Rumford schools.
He married Esther Doiron on Oct. 24, 1959.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years; sons, Stephen and his wife, Ann Glaude, of Pensacola, Fla., Kevin and his wife, Sierra Lamanna, of Pisgah Forest, N.C., and Vincent and his wife, Kathy, of Hopkinton, N.H.; grandchildren, Stephanie, Laurie, Brian, Logan, Hannah; sisters, Ella and Francine; and brothers, Paul and Joseph.
