Ernie Holmquist, of Peru, an employee of Team Masonry of Scarborough, works on raising the height of a bay at the Dixfield Fire Co. station so that a new fire truck can fit. The new engine is expected to arrive by the end of December and the bay should be complete by the end of the week. Town Manager Eugene Skibitsky has said that once the engine arrives, the town hopes to hold an open house for residents to view the fire engine, a new police SUV, and a new piece of public works equipment.
