NORTH WATERFORD — The Rev. George Frobig invites area children and adults to meet at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, at the North Waterford Congregational Church vestry, Five Kezars Road, for Christmas caroling throughout the Stoneham and North Waterford communities.

A potluck supper will follow, at 5 p.m., in the vestry. After the supper, there will be more Christmas music and a visit from Santa. All are welcome to attend.

All members of the local community are invited to the annual candlelight Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, at the church, to celebrate the Christmas story and hear traditional Christmas music.

Donations of nonperishable food items are being collected as part of a food drive to benefit the food pantry in Sweden. Donations may be dropped off at the church during December, or call Milly Millett at 583-2822 or the Rev. Frobig at 693-6461 to arrange for pickup.

The new 150th anniversary cookbook is still available for sale, with proceeds going toward the restoration of the North Waterford Church steeple and other repairs to the church building.

The cookbook features many recipes served at the public suppers held each summer. Contact church members or call Milly Millett for more information.

Sunday church services are being held through the winter months. Choir practice is held at 9 a.m., with Bible study at 9:15 a.m. Church School is held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, at the Stoneham Town Office/Fire Station.
