FARMINGTON — Colonial Daughters Chapter, DAR met on Dec. 1 at Two Oaks, Fairbanks Road, for a buffet luncheon and Christmas party. The business meeting was called to order at 11 a.m. by Chapter Regent Marcia White.

During the meeting a collection was taken for the veterans at Togus.

The Pelletier family from Fayette entertained the group with a country gospel music program. Solos, duets and a few sing-alongs were enjoyed. The group also exchanged Christmas gifts through a Yankee swap.

The next meeting of the chapter will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at The Pierce House, 204 Main St. Patriotic desserts will be served by the DAR ladies to the residents of Pierce House and guests. The program, “Old Glory,” will be presented by Loraine Norton, a member of the DAR group.

Members attending were: Regent Marcia White, Joy Gilbank, Connie Hiltz, Anne Kendall, Patricia LeBlanc, Julia Nouvertne, Joanne Page, Wilma Rector, Jeanette Stevens, Elaine Wells, Lorraine Wing, Patricia Durham, Nancy Flick, Kay Seefeldt, Theo Walker and Loraine Norton. Five guests also attended.

Colonial Daughters Chapter meets on the fourth Tuesday of the month. The public is invited to attend all meetings. For more information, contact any DAR member.
