PORTLAND — The finals for the Maine State Bar Association’s mock trial will take place without Lewiston High School, according to a press release from the bar association.
Hampden High School, which won the state title against Lewiston in 2008, knocked Lewiston out again last week.
The two teams left are Hampden and Sanford High School, which will face off Thursday in a Portland courtroom.
Twenty-two high school teams from throughout Maine began a rigorous journey three months ago, defending and prosecuting the defendant for a make-believe terrorizing crime in real courtrooms. At each round, one team lost and the other moved on. Lewiston made it to the semi-finals.
