AARP party

SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chapter of AARP will have a Christmas party on Monday, Dec. 14, at the First Congregational Church, East Main Street. Lunch will be served at noon and reservations are required. Call Ruth at 744-9069 by noon Friday, Dec. 11. The menu will feature chicken pie with eggnog pie for dessert. The cost is $6.50.

The party will begin at 1 p.m. with music and carol singing. Everyone will receive a gift during the reading of the Christmas story. Canned goods for the food bank are welcomed and those attending should bring their total volunteer hours for the year.

There will be no meeting in January. If meetings are cancelled due to weather, it will be announced on 92.7 WOXO.

Bridge results

NORWAY — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Dec. 4 in the Fare Share Building on Main Street. A 3 and 1/2 table Howell movement was enjoyed.

Finishing first in flight A were Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements; second, Jim Fallon and Richard Worthington, who also were first in flight B; third, Pete Cummings and Dick Allen.

Second in flight B were Arlen Riis and Bob Clifford, with their first visit back to the club after a summer hiatus.
