RUMFORD —The first annual Festival of Trees will take place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 12. in the Rumford Municipal Building Auditorium.

The event, organized by the newly formed Rumford Performing Arts Committee, also includes a Christmas celebration featuring a children’s play and a performance by the Parish of the Holy Savior choir.

The community tree, decorated by the committee, was donated by member Nancy Deming. Other trees will be decorated by the event’s sponsors; the Hope Association, Carey Associates, Franklin Savings Bank, Davis Florist, The Bag Lady, Oxford Federal Credit Union and The Free Store.

Advance tickets may be bought at Bartash, Carlisle’s or the Rumford Town Office. Tickets will also be on sale at the door. Price of admission is $3 for adults; no charge for children accompanied by an adult.
