Norma D. Hosfelt
1926 – 2009
WILTON — Norma D. Hosfelt, 83, of Wilton, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, at home after an illness.
She was born July 9, 1926, daughter of Leslie and Gladys (White) Neil. She was educated in Wilton schools and married Herbert L. Durrell, Dec. 3, 1942. They had one child, Jean Ellen. She later married John Hosfelt.
She was a store owner and later a store manager for many years for Brooks Drug Co.. She retired in 1988. She enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and quilting. She enjoyed pets, dogs especially. She enjoyed eating lunch at Wilton Lake with long-time friend, Stanton Collins of East Wilton.
She is survived by brother, Nelson Neil of Farmington; sister, Faylene Greenough of New Sharon; three grandchildren, Terry, Cathy and Shelly; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
