Dirigo 36, Boothbay 17
DIXFIELD — Dirigo used a 18-3 run in the second frame to pull away from Bothbay and hung on for a convincing 36-17 victory in local girl’s basketball action Thursday.

Hannah Knight led the Cougars (2-1) with eight points, nine rebounds and three steals. Tricia Turner also contributed for Dirigo with five points and four steals.

Boothbay (0-2) was paced by Kristin Sibley, Elana Peters and Meryl Jones with four points each.
