David E. Walker
1951 – 2009
AUBURN — David E. Walker, 58, of Oxford, died at the Androscoggin Hospice House on Dec. 9.
He was born in Lewiston, May 31, 1951, the son of Gerald and Margaret (Tibbetts) Walker and was educated in Bethel schools. He worked in the woods as a logger most of his life working for Bradley Benson. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by one son, Derek Walker of Woodstock; one daughter, Faith Gittings of Oxford; six brothers, Doug Walker and his wife, Jane, of Bethel, Stanley Walker of Bethel, Harold Walker and his wife, Bertha, of Bryant Pond, Raymond Walker of Norway, Tommy Walker of Bethel and Stevie Walker and his wife, Shirley, of Bethel; four sisters, Phyllis Farrington and her husband, Kenneth, of Oxford, Gertrude Hinkley of Bryant Pond, Gail Mason and her husband, Stuart, of South Paris and Terri Skinner of Oxford; and two grandchildren, Courteney Walker and Abbigale Gittings.
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Roland and Gerald; and three sisters, Sharon, Barbara Jean and Geraldine.
