POLAND — The Regional School Unit 16 school committee will hold a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, in the Poland Regional High School library to act on a plan to cut $319,500 from this year’s school budget.

The district’s education association members will vote earlier in the day on whether to accept four furlough days, the savings from which account for about $175,000 of the amount being cut from the budget. Results of that vote will determine how the budget reduction is achieved.
