Charlotte Waterman, 10,
reaches to help her mother, Jen, with the Christmas lights at their home in
Sabattus on Sunday. “We are one week late, but better late than never,” said
Waterman’s father, Jim. The Waterman family likes to decorate and cut their
Christmas tree down three weeks before the holiday. But the decorating has to
hold until Jim Waterman gets his deer each year, and it took five weeks to get
one. Jim Waterman shot a doe by black powder on Dec. 7. The Waterman family cut
down a 20-foot Christmas tree back behind their farm house, the same area where
Jim shot his deer.
