SOUTH PARIS — The Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club will have its traditional Teddy Bear Dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Oxford Hills Middle School, Pine Street.
John Thompson of Waterford, who is retiring as club caller after 10 years and has been the guest caller for Swingin’ Bears dances once a year since 1967, will offer class level, mainstream and plus square dancing. Bernie Porter will cue the round dancing.
Stuffed toys will be collected for Right Start Christmas For Kids and distributed by Community Concepts. The cost is $6 each person. There will be festive decorations and door prizes. Nondancers are welcome to come to watch at no charge. Refreshments will be served at intermission.
