Blood drive

TURNER —  The Key Club at Leavitt Area High School will hold a Red Cross blood
drive from 7:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16. Their goal is to collect 70 units of blood. Call 225-3533 to schedule a
time. Donors should bring identification.

Marine Corps

LEWISTON — The Marine Corps League Central Maine Detachment will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Multi-Purpose Center, Spruce Street. Members will vote for incoming officers for 2010.

Following the meeting will be a Christmas snack social.

Christmas dance

AUBURN — The VFW Post 1603, 588 Minot Ave., will have a Christmas dance with a DJ from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18. There is no charge to attend and the families of the 619th are invited to attend. Bake sale

AUBURN — Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends, a nonprofit organization
dedicated to saving the lives of the neglected, abused and abandoned
animals, will sponsor its annual bake sale at Kmart on Saturday
and Sunday, Dec. 19 and 20. All proceeds will benefit the animals who
have medical emergencies as well as spay and neutering. For more

OES to meet

LISBON FALLS — Pioneer Chapter 11, Order of the Eastern Star, will
meet for a Christmas celebration at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at
the Ancient York Masonic Hall, Route 196.
Refreshments will be served after the meeting. All members of the Order
are invited to attend.
