Between 7 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, and 7 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, Lewiston police responded to 578 calls for service. Of those calls, 140 were motor vehicle stops.

Theft
A customer of Caswell’s at 675 Main St. had her purse stolen from her grocery carriage on Dec. 7 at 1:40 p.m. The suspect was a male who left in a blue pickup truck.
Burglaries
A self-storage unit at Sabattus Street Self Storage at 1434 Sabattus St. was burglarized and a dining room set was taken sometime prior to noon on Dec. 9.
An apartment at 131 Horton St. was burglarized prior to 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 8; property was taken.
An apartment at 297 Bates St. was burglarized on Dec. 8 prior to 11:30 a.m.; an entry door was kicked in to gain entry, and property was taken.
An apartment at 194 Bates St. was burglarized between Nov. 3 and Dec. 7 while the tenant was out of town. Numerous video games, some prescription medications, an albino king snake and a southwestern hog nose snake were taken.
An apartment at 391 Lisbon St. was burglarized prior to noon on Dec. 6; entry was gained through an unlocked window. Cash, a Sony VCR, two digital cameras and some jewelry were taken.
Aggravated assault
Kristopher Pulk, 25, was charged with aggravated assault on Dec. 4 at 11:23 p.m. at 141.5 Pierce St. after a male subject was beaten into unconsciousness and then kicked in the head several times after he was on the ground.
