Dorothy Richmond, 96, left, and Ruth Knapp, 84, were among the residents of The Pierce House in Farmington who helped wrap more than 160 pairs of pajamas that will go to children in need. The Farmington Rotary Club and the Franklin County Children’s Task Force, both in Farmington, partner to collect pajamas or money to buy them. The Roteract, members of the Rotary-sponsored service club for ages 18 to 30, go shopping for the pajamas, which are then taken to The Pierce House to be wrapped. Cindy Brophy of the Western Maine Community Action in Wilton was at The Pierce House Monday to collect the wrapped packages to take them back to Operation Santa Claus headquarters in Wilton to be distributed before Christmas.
