Beryle F. Strout
1941 – 2009
PORTLAND — Beryle Fay Strout, 68, of West Poland died Monday, Dec. 14, at Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Oxford, Nov. 26, 1941, the daughter of George Aldebert Libby Sr. and Edna Lillian Bassett Libby. She attended school in Mechanic Falls and recently received her diploma in 2005.
She had been employed at Paris Manufacturing and as a housekeeper at Point Sebago. She enjoyed horses, camping, fishing, birds and farm animals. She loved outdoor activities.
She was commonly known as “Ma” to everyone. She had a silly side and a heart of gold. She married Franklin Strout Sr. on Dec. 31, 1964. She was “a classy lady” right to the end.
She is survived by her husband of West Poland; daughter, Dale Bartlett and her husband, Ray; son, Franklin Jr. and his wife, Kelly; son, Frederick Strout; daughter, Julia Morneau and her husband, Michael; son, Edward Strout and his wife, Tammy, all of West Poland; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Raimey of South Paris, Caroline Currier of Norway and Maxine Pope and her husband, Dick, of Buckfield; a brother, George Libby Jr. of Oxford; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a son, Scott Edward Strout; a sister, Judith Walker; and three brothers, Herman and Sherman Libby and Warren Tibbetts.
