The Jesus Party’s patriotic mentor, Jerry DerBoghosian, along with Irving and Nancy Valiente, recently lead the children in a service to observe Veterans Day. Children said the "Pledge of Allegiance," sang patriotic songs and learned the origin of the holiday. Nancy lead the group in singing praise songs and Irving reminded the children to take serious the freedoms and liberties people enjoy as Americans. The children also prayed for the families of the 12 soldiers who were killed and for the 31 soldiers who were injured in Fort Hood, Texas. Japheth Taylor sang Lee Greenwood’s, "God Bless the U.S.A." in memory of the soldiers. Pictured from left are Irving and Nancy Valiente and Jerry DerBoghosian.
