FARMINGTON — The eighth annual Chester Greenwood Day is coming up Friday, Dec. 21, the official opening day of winter.
All interested in participating should contact a great-grandson of the late inventor of the earmuff, Ronald Greenwood, who headed up last year’s successful observance. He said he has had problems this year in getting a committee together.
Saturday night, Greenwood said he wants to keep the event alive as it appears “to mean so much to the townspeople.”
If nothing more, “I would to have the traditional flag raising ceremony on the lawn of the County Court House.”
