The Maine Veterans of Foreign Wars of the U.S. and the Auburn Wal-Mart recently spent two days packing clothes, loading them on a Wal-Mart truck and transporting them to the Veterans Hospital in Togus for the 12th annual Homeless Veterans Stand-Down. Enough clothes were provided for 75 homeless veterans, including five female homeless veterans expected to attend. Pictured from left are Donald W. Linscott, quartermaster of the Maine Veterans of Foreign Wars; Denise Dubovy, Wal-Mart clothing manager; and John Pringle, Wal-Mart driver.
