LEWISTON — The Lewiston Public Library will host its annual holiday children’s sing-along from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 21. This year’s event will feature the storytime lady Mrs. A as well as Jake Paris leading familiar holiday favorites with voice and guitar.
A booklet with lyrics will be provided, hot chocolate will be served and Mrs. A. will tell a holiday story. Attendees are encouraged to bring cookies or other goodies to share. The program is free to attend, but will require tickets, which can be obtained in the children’s department.
“Singing together is a form of socializing that is increasingly being lost,” said Jake Paris, children’s department technician and program organizer. “Through the holiday sing-along we hope to keep alive this traditional form of entertainment. In addition to having fun singing these songs, we hope people will come together and enjoy each other.”
While the sing-along is aimed primarily at children, the library encourages people of any age to come and enjoy the event.
