Don Michaud carries in a box of toys to add to the growing pile at the Department of Health and Human Services offices in Lewiston on Thursday. The toys were collected at nine toy drives and from various drop-off boxes by the Knights of Columbus. The first-ever “Knights before Christmas” toy giveaway was spearheaded by Roger and Cecile Roy. A total of 431 toys were given to DHHS, which will distribute them to children in the foster care system.
