Christmas Eve service

WILTON — The Christmas Eve service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, School and High streets, will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24. The service of Holy Eucharist will feature a chancel drama by local actor and mime, Michael Cooper, as well as traditional Christmas carols led by the choir.

Legion karaoke

NORWAY — The American Legion Post 82 will host karaoke from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, with professional DJs, the Old Crows. Food will be available. The cost is $6 and proceeds will go to the post. 

Office closed

WILTON — The Wilton Town Office will be closed for Christmas on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and 25. It will be closed for New Year’s on Friday, Jan. 1.

Church service

JAY — Bean’s Corner Baptist Church will have a Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24. The service will feature music, meditations and candle-lighting.

The church is located at the intersection of Routes 156 and 133. Regular services include Sunday School at 9:15 a.m.; worship at 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sundays; and prayer partnership at 6:30 p.m. Wednesdays. For more information, call 645-2925.

Council meeting

RUMFORD — The Consumer Council System of Maine, an
organized voice that serves as an independent advisory council to the
Office of Adult Mental Health Services, will meet from 10
a.m. to noon Wednesday, Dec. 23, at 209
Lincoln Ave., the old VA building.

Those in the area who
identify as being someone with experience in
using mental health services or other interested community
members may attend the meeting. For more
