I can’t believe the people of this country who fall for the garbage coming out of Washington about how they’re going to fix the job situation. Billions are coming to keep teachers, firemen, police, fix the roads, bridges, jobs for college kids in the summer, etc.
First of all, those bridges, roads, etc., should already be funded by the normal tax route, so that is actually creating zero jobs. It’s just taking more of our tax money.
Second, can somebody please explain to me how government can create jobs? I mean, anything government creates, has to come from our (taxpayer) money. Real jobs have to be created from a need, not borne on the backs of taxpayers. That should be common sense — something Washington is sorely lacking.
Now we’re going to build more tax-subsidized trains? Newsflash folks: The trains we have can only survive with huge taxpayer subsidies. They just can’t turn a profit. Unfortunately, they should go away.
I’m tired of the bailout-fund-with-my-tax-dollars mentality. This seems to be the only thing those idiots in Washington understand, and Obama is about the biggest idiot down there. They have lost touch with what is really needed to make this country run, and that is to get out of the way and stop meddling with it. Let the free market do its job of making real jobs in this country.
