I am very disappointed that the Sun Journal, a newspaper that represents the community in which I live, added to the racial tension in this and surrounding communities.

If the crimes had been committed by white youths, would the Sun Journal editors have put that into the headline?

I would think that anyone considering moving to this area, opening a business or even just coming to visit after reading the Dec. 17 edition would change his or her mind and think what a very prejudiced community this is.

I think Sun Journal editors owe all of the citizens of the area an apology.
