FARMINGTON — Tessa came to the Franklin County Animal Shelter because her owner passed away and unfortunately no family members could take care of her.

Staff at the shelter said that Tessa is a quiet older gal. She is about 7 years old but has plenty of spunk left, they said. She loves to play fetch, go on long walks and is always ready for a quick game of tag.

Tessa has her calm side too, they said. She loves to cuddle, sit right beside someone while they’re doing desk work and loves to take long naps. She is a little sensitive to big movements and would best be placed in a home without small children. Shelter staff said that someone who is looking for a loyal companion that would be right by their side through thick and thin should come check out Tessa.

New dogs at the shelter include a female pom mix found in Livermore Falls, a male pom mix found in Jay and a female malamute shepherd mix.
