LEWISTON — Geraldine E. Lauze, 56, of Lewiston died Sunday, Dec. 20, at her residence, after a long illness.
She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 9, 1953, the daughter of Gerard Houle and Simone Lauze and had been a resident of this community all of her life. She was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1972.
She was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served from 1972 to 1975. She was employed as a construction laborer for both Callahan and Diaz Brothers. She then was a self-employed painter. She enjoyed painting and attending local social clubs.
She is survived by four brothers, Damien Giguere and his wife, Michelle, of Scarborough, Robert Giguere and his wife, Joan, of Lisbon Falls, Roger Giguere of Lewiston and Gerard Lauze of Lewiston; three sisters, Brenda Lauze and her companion, Harold Hersey, of Auburn, Rol Coty and her fiancé, Palamon Carrasco, of Greene and Jean Kobeckis and her husband, Jim, of Poland; seven nieces and nephews; and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews.
