Germaine B. Doherty
RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Germaine B. Doherty formerly of Rumford was celebrated Wednesday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Alfred Jacques as celebrant. Altar assistant was George Gionet and organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “J-are La Voir un Jour,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd,” “Ave Maria” and “Fly Like a Bird.” Readings and eulogy was given by daughter-in-law Barbara Doherty. Pallbearers were Raymond Doherty Jr., Russell Doherty, Lisa Doherty, Sara Ferrer, Ashley Ferrer and Harvey Clark. Interment in the spring will be at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed the funeral Mass in the parish hall of the church. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader & Son Funeral Home.
