Regarding the recent article, “Series of crimes in Lewiston linked to groups of Somali youth,” I find it disturbing that the public is just finding out about these crimes now when they have been taking place over the past six months. I think it’s safe to say that if that had been a group of white youths attacking Somalis, or any other race for that matter, it would have been front-page news shortly after the first incident.
Why has it taken the Lewiston Police Department so long to find these assailants, especially when the Somalis are supposedly such a small segment of the community? And why has it taken the Somali community so long to step forward and “want to help”
I think we all know what’s going on here. It’s called political correctness and it’s going to be the undoing of our community and our country.
I personally believe that what is taking place here has little to do with race and more do with ideology. I would urge the public to take a moment to research what is happening in Europe regarding the influx of Muslim immigrants into those countries. It is a precursor of what will happen here if we don’t stop giving the Muslim community a pass and start holding them accountable for their actions, or inactions, as we would any other member of the community.
Political correctness, at best, can cost you your way of life and, at worst, could cost you your life.
