FREEPORT — L.L. Bean will ring in the New Year Thursday, Dec. 31, with fun, music and fireworks for the whole family at its Main Street store.
The New Year’s Eve celebration will get an early start at 11 a.m. with a concert by Maine’s award-winning band the Flannery Brothers. Throughout the day, there will be musical performances by Leeny and Tamara, visits by L.L. Bean’s mascot, cocoa at a campfire with Outward Bound and craft activities by Wear and Wave Art Extravaganza with VSA Arts of Maine.
At 5:15 p.m., Rick Charette will perform the final concert of the day in Discovery Park, officially ringing in the New Year, followed by a hot cocoa toast and fireworks at 6 p.m.
All events throughout the day are free.
