David Haines

1948-2009

LEWISTON — David Allan Haines died suddenly on Dec. 20, following a long battle with heart disease, in the Central Maine Medical Center Emergency Room, surrounded by his family.

He was born May 20, 1948, in Rumford, to “Bea” (Williston), of Bay du Vin, New Brunswick, and Allan Hudson Haines, of Bay du Vin, New Brunswick, and Mexico.

One of his greatest joys was sharing his firm belief in the
Bible’s promise of the earthly paradise under God’s kingdom rule and
the hope of the resurrection. Because of his great love for his God,
Jehovah, he volunteered at the Worldwide Headquarters of Jehovah’s
Witnesses in New York, from 1971 to 1975.

He is survived by his wife, Trudy, of 33 years; son, Andrew; daughter, Laura and her husband, John Crockett; two grandchildren, Julianna and Justin Crockett, all of Lewiston; his sister, Dinah Haines of Rumford; a brother, Richard of Bangor; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
