LISBON — Combined damage was estimated at $15,000 when a pickup truck struck the front porch of a house at 127 Lisbon St. in Lisbon Village shortly before noon Saturday.

Scot Lavoie, 25, of Field Road, Lisbon, was headed west on Route 196 when he lost control of his pickup, crossed the eastbound lane, then went off the road and into the porch of a house owned by Roger Brown, according to investigating officer Jeff Williams of the Lisbon Police Department.

Neither the driver or the person in the house was injured, police said. Loss to Lavoie’s 2000 Ford Ranger was estimated at $5,000 and damage to the porch was set at $10,000 in the 11:58 a.m. crash. Slippery road conditions were a contributing factor.

In a separate accident, 26-year-old Erik Poulin of Portland escaped apparent injury in a single-vehicle crash on Route 196.
Poulin was driving west on Route 196 shortly before 11:30 a.m. when his
pickup truck skidded out of control on the slippery road,
crossed the opposite lane, then struck some small trees and went into
the ditch, according to Williams. Damage
was estimated at $2,000 to Poulin’s 2001 Ford Ranger pickup.
