Kids First program

FARMINGTON — A Kids First Program will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 9, at
Franklin Memorial Hospital, 111 Franklin Health Commons.

The workshop for parents is designed to help address problems and reduce the negative effects of separation and divorce. The workshop will address
children’s needs as marital and family roles change,
the effects of and children’s reactions to separation and divorce,
talking with children about divorce or other changes,
making decisions about parenting arrangements,
dealing with conflict without involving children and
helping children adjust to differences between households.

Participants are required to register and pay in advance either by phone, online or through the mail. The fee is $60 each person. To register, call 778-6960 or mail the registration to Children’s Task Force, 113 Church St., Farmington, ME 04938.

Community lunch

FARMINGTON — The Old South Congregational Church will serve its monthly free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9. The menu will include meatloaf, mashed potatoes with gravy, mixed vegetables, rolls with butter and apple crisp.

Delivery service will be available in the Farmington area. Call the church office at 778-0424 during the week or the church kitchen at 778-4438 on the morning of the luncheon for delivery.
