Roger W. Plante

FARMINGTON — Roger W. Plante, 69, of Jay died unexpectedly, Sunday, Jan. 3, at the Franklin Memorial Hospital.
He was born on March 24, 1940, in Chisholm, the son of Emile and Rachel (Soucy) Plante. He was educated in Jay schools.
He married Janice Moreau at the St. Rose of Lima church in Jay. They made their home in Jay while he worked and later retired from IP.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served from 1963 to 1965. He was a member of the AMVETS in Jay and PACE Local 114 in Jay, where he liked to go play cards and visit with everyone. At home, he enjoyed watching the History, Discovery and Sci-Fi channels.
He is survived by his wife, Janice of Jay; nieces and nephews; several brothers and sisters-in-law; dear friend, Tony Wilder of Jay; and his “son” a cat, Bideau.
He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Bert Plante.
