Aime ‘Jim’ Gagne
1925 – 2010

LEWISTON — Aime “Jim” Gagne, 84, a resident of Odd Fellows Home, Auburn, passed away on Jan. 5, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, as the result of a stroke.

He was born in East Broughton, P.Q., Oct. 4, 1925, the son of Ovila and Blanche (Huard) Gagne-Perron and had been a resident of this community for most of his life. He attended Lewiston schools and was a member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

He worked at Clark Shoe for many years and retired from the maintenance department at Bates College in 1987. He enjoyed music and singing, going to Luiggi’s for spaghetti and McDonald’s. He was also a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Patricia of Turner; four brothers, Marcel, Normand, Claude and Paul Perron; two sisters, Doraine Pomerleau and Liana Charest; and several nieces and nephews.

he was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Ronald Perron; an infant brother, Gerard Perron; and his ex-wife, Muriel Gagne.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Dr. Jeffrey Brown, Dr. Robert Weiss and a special thanks to the staff at Odd Fellows Home for the excellent care and support over the past six years.
