Alda F. Lacasse
1923 – 2010
LEWISTON — Alda F. Lacasse, 86, a resident of 10 Jeffrey St., Lewiston, died early Wednesday, Jan. 6, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, after a brief illness.
She was born in Lisbon, Sept. 6, 1923, the daughter of Charles E. and Elianne (Berube) Jalbert. She was a member of Holy Cross Church, Holy Cross Senior Citizens, Sabattus Senior Citizens, the Acme Club and Pastime Club.
She loved going to the casino in Bangor, as well as play Bingo and traveling to Europe. But most of all, her passion was picking wild Maine blueberries.
Survivors include a stepson, Daniel Lacasse and his wife, Kathy, of Auburn; two stepdaughters, Jeannine Tardif of Lewiston and JoAnne Chartier and her husband, Jeff, of Alabama, and formerly of Lewiston; one brother, Joseph Jalbert and his wife, Lillian, of Lewiston; one sister, Priscilla Benoit and her husband, John, of Sun City, Fla., and Lewiston; several nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as two special friends, Terry and Lou.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Benoit Gregoire; her second husband, Jim Lacasse; as well as two sisters, Rita Sirois and Louise Jalbert.
