UTICA, N.Y. — Mandy Joy (O’Brien) Nelson, 32, of Utica, N.Y., formerly of Lewiston died Monday, Jan. 4, at her home.
She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 2, 1977, the daughter of James O’Brien and Diane Greenleaf O’Brien. She attended Holy Cross elementary school and graduated from high school in Clinton, N.Y.
She had been employed as a nurse’s aide at a nursing home. She married Larry Nelson. She loved talking on the telephone to everyone that she knew. She enjoyed watching TV, shopping and spending time with her family. She had many close friends and loved to laugh, she loved life.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Anthony; her best friend, Mike; her mother and stepfather, Diane O’Brien and Alfred Heath, of Minot; her father and stepmother, Jim and Vicky O’Brien of Greene; her maternal grandfather, Roger Gagnon of Palm Harbor, Fla.; her paternal grandfather, Gerald O’Brien of Lewiston; her maternal great-grandfather, Alvar Jarvi of Minot; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
