McBrady III
HANCOCK — The wedding of Nancy C. Walworth and James A. McBrady III was held at 4 p.m. on Aug. 29 at Pierre Monteux School in Hancock. The Rev. Philip Devenish officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. McBrady is the daughter of Drs. Edward and Candace Walworth of Lewiston. Mr. McBrady is the son of James McBrady Jr. and Helen McBrady of Yarmouth.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless gown and carried a bouquet of Calla lilies, roses, sweet peas and hypernicum in the color scheme of burnt orange, red, pink, white and green.
Liza Walworth was maid of honor for her sister. Bridesmaids were Katharine Lusk and Garren Bird, friends from college, and Jessica Kemper, friend from high school.
Jeremy Griffin, friend from graduate school, performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Stephen McBrady and Matthew McBrady, brothers of the bridegroom, and Adam Dougherty, friend from high school.
A reception followed at Pierre Monteux School. Because of tropical storm Danny, the outdoor wedding which was scheduled on the coast in Sullivan, was moved inside the school. After a wedding trip to Bali, Indonesia, the couple is residing in Cumberland.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Lewiston School and a 2000 graduate of Williams College. She is also a 2007 graduate of the University of Maine School of Law. She is an environmental attorney with Preti, Flaherty, Beliveau and Pachios, LLP in Portland.
The bridegroom is a 1995 graduate of Greely High School and a 1999 graduate of Cornell University. He received a degree in accounting in 2000 from the University of Notre Dame. He is employed at James A. McBrady, Inc., a steel fabrication business in Scarborough.
