Ham supper

NORWAY — The Norway Fireman’s Relief Association will have a baked ham supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Norway Fire Station.

The menu will consist of baked ham, salads, vegetables, rolls, beverages and dessert. Admission is $7 for adults, $3 for ages 6 to 11 and free for ages 5 and under.

Martial arts program

NORWAY – The MaineHealth
Learning Resource Center at Stephens Memorial Hospital will
offer a “T’ai Chi and Qigong to Improve Your Health” class from 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.
Mondays, Jan. 18 to Feb. 22, at the Norway Memorial
Library. Cost is $55 each person.

Betsey Foster, MPH, will instruct the program that combines the health-enhancing martial
arts. The class is suitable for those who might want a slower pace or are dealing with health issues. A friend may try t’ai chi for half the price. Registration is preferred. For more information or to register, call 1-866-609-5183.

Bridge results

NORWAY – The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Friday in the Fare Share Building, Main Street. A four-table Howell movement was played. Finishing first in flight A were Dick Allen and Les Buzzell; second, Jim Fallon and Richard Worthington, who also were first in flight B.
Third in flight A were Priscilla Rooth and Hazel Glazier, who also were
second in flight B

Finishing third in flight B were Carol Curran and Denny Raymond. The next game will be played at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 15. A partner
is guaranteed. All bridge players are invited.

Vitamin D presentation

BRIDGTON – Dr. Julianne Forbes, a naturopathic doctor, will speak on the importance of vitamin D in a diet on Thursday, Jan. 21, at t he Fellowship Hall of the Bridgton Alliance Church, Route 117, North Bridgton.

Many researchers are finding numerous associations between vitamin D
deficiency and chronic diseases of all kinds prevalent in society.The meeting will include breakfast, beginning
at 7:30 a.m.

Yogalates

NORWAY — Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer Louisa Abarno will
lead a six-week Yogalates program, combining yoga and pilates to
increase strength and flexibility. The class will be held from 5:45 to
6:45 p.m. Mondays, Jan. 25 through March 1. The cost is $55 each person
and will be held in the Culinary Arts Room at the Oxford Hills
Comprehensive High School.

Participants should wear loose comfortable clothing and bring water
