FARMINGTON — Three a cappella groups will take the stage at a sing-off hosted by the University of Maine at Farmington’s Clef Notes on Sunday, Jan. 24.
The Clef Notes, Brown University’s all-female Chattertocks and The Mt. Blue Voices perform contemporary pop hits using a mix of commercial and original arrangements.
The Chattertocks, Brown University’s oldest female a cappella group, chose Farmington as a stop on its East Coast tour because of member Elisabeth Stancioff’s ties to the Mt. Blue Voices.
The Mt. Blue Voices have been in existence since the 1970s, performing statewide and numerous times at Disney World. The Clef Notes, previously called Sole Expression, is the newest of the three groups, having reorganized earlier this year.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in Nordica Auditorium at Merrill Hall. Donations of any amount will be accepted at the door. For more information, call 778-3513.
